Why Join SEKGA
Regional Support and Community
SEKGA supports NKR, AKGA, and IKGA, which all provide registration services, while SEKGA gives you a strong regional network. You connect with breeders specifically in the Southeastern U.S., making it easier to buy, sell, trade, and collaborate locally.
Access to Sales and Events
SEKGA members get priority access to participate in events such as the SEKGA Round-Up Sale, spring workshops, shows, and expos. These events are excellent opportunities to market your animals, meet buyers, and learn from experienced breeders.
Promoting the Kiko Breed
SEKGA actively promotes the Kiko goat as a hardy, low-maintenance meat breed well suited for hot and humid regions. As a member, you are part of a group working to elevate the breed’s reputation and expand markets.
Networking and Mentorship
Membership gives you access to a community of experienced Kiko breeders who can offer mentorship, breeding advice, and help navigating registration processes (NKR, AKGA, IKGA). For new or growing breeders, this support is invaluable.
Member Marketing Opportunities
SEKGA promotes member farms, member sales, and provides marketing tools. Being part of the association adds credibility to your operation, especially when buyers are searching for reputable breeders.
SEKGA + NKR + AKGA + IKGA = Complete Support
NKR, AKGA, and IKGA handle pedigree and registry services. SEKGA delivers community, education, marketing, and local events. Together, they provide a complete support system for Kiko goat breeders.
