12th Annual SEKGA Round Up & Sale

November 12, & 13, 2021
What a beautiful fall day we had for our 12th Annual SEKGA Sale and Roundup! We had some changes this year! This is the first time we held the Sale at the FFA facility in Covington, GA, and it was a Joy!
We started our weekend with great seminars that included Kidding spreadsheets, Forage and it even included a couple of Zoom seminars!
We had 71 lots for Sale.

15 semen and embryo averaging $737.00

8 Purebred Does averaging $900.00

45 100% New Zealand Does averaging $1244.00

2 100% New Zealand Bucks averaging $1300.00

We had 10 scratches, 8 of which were replaced with semen.

We had 46 buyers on site and 70 on Top Livestock(virtual bidding site).
Total sales were $77,950.00 from 10 different states! Bidders onsite traveled from as far as Missouri. We also had bidders from Puerto Rico to purchase and ship the Kikos back home to improve the Kiko breed in their country!
Highest Selling Doe
Ashley Mansfield from Wellborn, FL was our high volume buyer and she also purchased the high selling Doe for the sale. The high selling doe was sold by Granville and Mary Cheatham of Nip and Tuck Kiko Meat Goats from Culleoka, TN, for $3800,00.

Highest Selling Buck
Willis Hill from Timmonsville, SC was the internet buyer who purchased the high selling buck from Bob and Marilyn Seleska of Spring Acres Farm in Quitman, GA for $1300.00.

Skill-A-Thon Winners
Ashley Best, Newton Co. Extension Agent held the 4H/FFA Skill- a-Thon for the Kids on Saturday Morning! Our 4H/FFA Skil-a-thon Winner won a PB doe donated by Anne Gerrish of Royal Acres Kikos.

3rd Place----Ashley Bedford, Cordele, GA.
Also, all proceeds from the Raffle ticket sales benefit our Maxwell/SEKGA Agri-Business Scholarship Fund! Thank You to everyone that participated and donated!!
